The Young Robotic GynaecologyFoundation (YEARS)

YEARS represents the ‘Young European Advocates of Robotic Surgery’ and is the coordinating body in Europe for both ‘trainees & fellows’ interested in robotic surgery. BIARGS and the Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons (SERGS) wish to promote this new trainees group.

The joint BIARGS and SERGS Annual meeting in June 2020 could not go ahead in Cork due to the current circumstances of Covid 19 pandemic. However, the launch of this new daughter society – YEARS was fortunately not postponed. During the first ever online-SERGS-congress, YEARS’s launch on the 10th of June 2020 was a great success with almost 200 young delegates attending and actively participating in the questions.

BIARGS council has identified a gap in formalised robotic training and is working with the RCOG to have a robotic training module. YEARS will further support robotic training, foster networking with centres performing roboticsurgery and encourage the exchange of experience & knowledge, and represent this sub-group of gynaecological surgeons nationally and internationally.

  • The Young Robotic Gynaecology Foundation-day at the BIARGS Congress, with a separate dedicated Social Program.
  • Invitation for an active participation in the YEARS-day at the SERGS Congress.
