Dr Dina El-Hamamsy is a fellowship-trained Consultant Urogynaecologist and Minimally Invasive Surgeon with specialist expertise in robotic pelvic surgery. She completed her PhD at the University of Leicester on Robotic Gynaecological Surgery in NHS England and Staff Experiences in Robotic Theatres, combining national data with qualitative research on robotic theatre dynamics.

She undertook a dedicated Robotic Pelvic Fellowship at the Royal Surrey Hospital and has trained extensively with BIARGS and SERGS, where she currently serves as a council member of the Young European Advocates of Robotic Surgery (YEARS). She is also the founder of MIRGS (Mentorship in Robotic Gynaecological Surgery), a European mentorship programme designed to support safe adoption of robotic surgery.

Dr El-Hamamsy has published widely on robotic outcomes, efficiency, and training, and is a regular invited speaker at international meetings including SERGS, IUGA, ICS, BIARGS, and RCOG. Her clinical and research interests focus on advancing robotic techniques in urogynaecology, with particular expertise in nerve-sparing robotic approaches for complex mesh complication surgery.

As technology began to transform surgical procedures in the early 2000s, she became an early adopter of laparoscopic techniques. This shift ignited her passion for education and mentorship, as she recognized the need to train and support her colleagues.

Geraldine was at the forefront as robotic surgery emerged, actively developing training modules and hands-on workshops. She firmly believes surgical innovation succeeds through the combined expertise of the entire theatre team. She has an inspiring ability to demystify complex robotic platforms and translate technical skills into actionable knowledge, making her an invaluable resource and a respected leader.

Ms Marielle Nobbenhuis is a gynaecological oncology surgeon. She qualified in medicine from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and continued to train in gynaecology and obstetrics at the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam. She completed the RCOG-recognised sub-speciality Gynaecological Oncology fellowship at The Royal Marsden in 2009.

Ms Nobbenhuis obtained a PhD (cum laude) grade in research involving the natural history of pre-malignant cervical lesions and infection with human papillomavirus resulting in several peer-reviewed publications and presentations in this field. Her main topics of interest are robotic gynaecological surgery and ovarian cancer. She is a trainer in robotic surgery and involved in national and international robotic societies. She is the past president of the British and Irish Association of Robotic Surgeons, and Vice President of the Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgery (SERGS). She is PI of various surgical studies, including robotic.
