Mr Kucukmetin is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and Clinical Lead & IGCS International Mentor. Mr Ali Kucukmetin trained as a Gynaecologist in the Wessex deanery in 2004, before moving to Newcastle to complete a higher degree (MD) in ovarian cancer research at Newcastle University.
He qualified as a specialist Gynaecological Oncologist and he was appointed as laparoscopic-lead Consultant in the reputable Northern Gynaecological Oncology Centre, Gateshead in 2010. Mr Kucukmetin has become an internationally renowned expert in his field, following his pioneering laparoscopic operations for the management of gynaecological cancers. He performed the first Total Laparoscopic Radical Trachelectomy procedure in the UK in May 2011. Ali is active in research, leading to good quality publications.

Dr Alison Wright, FRCOG, is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, working privately at the Portland hospital, where she is the Vice-Chair of the MAC (medical advisory committee). She also works in the NHS, at the Royal Free London hospital in Hampstead.

She is the immediate past Vice-President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and currently leads on personalised care for maternity at NHS England and NHS Improvement. Dr Wright is the UK representative for FIGO (International Federation of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians) safe motherhood.

Her clinical interests include childbirth trauma, urogynaecology, pelvic floor dysfunction, menopause, infections in pregnancy and high risk pregnancies.

Mr Raza is a Consultant Gynaecologist with extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery (keyhole) and endometriosis. He is an innovator, researcher, and presenter in treating endometriosis, pelvic pain, and fibroids. Mr Raza currently works as a Gynaecologist at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Hospital. He is a passionate expert in laparoscopic surgery and specific interest in excisional surgery for endometriosis. He has vast experience in minimal access surgery and is an accredited endometriosis specialist. Mr Raza leads a multidisciplinary team of colorectal surgeon, urologists and radiologist for complex endometriosis cases. Mr Raza visited national and international centres of laparoscopic surgery and endometriosis to get the best experience in treating such disease. He leads on many laparoscopic training programmes for specialists in UK and around the world. The fundamental distinctive qualities of Mr Raza practice are multidisciplinary approach, individualised care, and a bespoke care plan. Dr. Arohan Sapkota is a prominent Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who has received international recognition for his medical contributions and humanitarian work. He is currently based in the United Kingdom. Dr. Sapkota practices as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and is a member of one of the most prestigious medical organisations in the world. He has represented India to present his work in various countries, including Japan, Switzerland, and Australia. He is passionate about advocating for better health for women and babies in both developed and developing countries. In pursuit of this, he has organised medical camps in Nepal and plans to do the same in Sikkim and other parts of India. Mr Arvind Vashisht is a highly respected, leading consultant gynaecologist based in London. He is the clinical lead for gynaecology at University College Hospital London and is an honorary associate professor at University College London. He is also the chair of the Endometriosis Centres for the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.

Mr Vashisht, who consults privately at Cleveland Clinic London Endometriosis Unit, specialises in the treatment of endometriosis, pelvic floor disorders, menstrual and hormonal disorders, urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, vaginal prolapse, and pelvic pain. Additionally, he also has subspecialist expertise in minimal access surgery, including laparoscopy, and is co-director of a national training program for advanced minimal access surgery.

He has active research interests in endometriosis and pelvic floor disorders, and has published extensively in numerous peer-reviewed journals on the matter. Mr Vashisht also supervises several students completing higher degrees in gynaecology, and has written an updated curriculum for the training program for advanced laparoscopic surgery in the UK.

Mr Vashisht lectures nationally and internationally and is an invited expert for conferences. He writes expert witness medicolegal reports in his specialist areas.

I completed my nursing education in the Philippines, and began my clinical career in a tertiary public hospital in Manila, where I spent 6 years working across a broad range of surgical specialties. During my time in operating theatre I was assigned to specialised in Urology and Robotic Surgery.
Since I moved here in the UK, I work as a theatre scrub, and recently finished my Surgical First Assistant course. I’m continuing to apply all the learnings that I’ve learned as a general and robotic scrub, and surgical first assistant to deliver safe, efficient and patient-centered care within the UK surgical setting.

David Iles is a Clinical Lead for Urogynaecology. He is a consultant gynaecologist who practices in the NHS, specifically in the Manchester area within the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. His primary special interest is in Urogynaecology, dealing with complex cases of female urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.

Mr Tsepov is an internationally recognised expert gynaecological surgeon performing robotic surgery on DaVinci Xi surgical robot for severe endometriosis, uterine fibroids and complex benign gynaecological pathology. Mr Tsepov works in close partnership with multidisciplinary robotic surgery experts. Mr Tsepov is a certified robotic DaVinci Xi console surgeon by Intuitive Surgical as well as by the British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecology Surgeons (BIARGS). He is a robotic surgery proctor for Intuitive Surgical and teaches advanced robotic surgery techniques across UK and Europe. The London Endometriosis & Advance Pelvic Surgery led by Mr Tsepov is an observation centre for robotic surgery and provides regular training courses for surgeons.

Dr Dina El-Hamamsy is a fellowship-trained Consultant Urogynaecologist and Minimally Invasive Surgeon with specialist expertise in robotic pelvic surgery. She completed her PhD at the University of Leicester on Robotic Gynaecological Surgery in NHS England and Staff Experiences in Robotic Theatres, combining national data with qualitative research on robotic theatre dynamics.

She undertook a dedicated Robotic Pelvic Fellowship at the Royal Surrey Hospital and has trained extensively with BIARGS and SERGS, where she currently serves as a council member of the Young European Advocates of Robotic Surgery (YEARS). She is also the founder of MIRGS (Mentorship in Robotic Gynaecological Surgery), a European mentorship programme designed to support safe adoption of robotic surgery.

Dr El-Hamamsy has published widely on robotic outcomes, efficiency, and training, and is a regular invited speaker at international meetings including SERGS, IUGA, ICS, BIARGS, and RCOG. Her clinical and research interests focus on advancing robotic techniques in urogynaecology, with particular expertise in nerve-sparing robotic approaches for complex mesh complication surgery.

I am a consultant Gynaecologist specialising in robotic and laparoscopic treatment of advanced endometriosis at Worcestershire Acute hospitals NHS trust. I am clinical lead for Worcestershire endometriosis and pelvic pain centre.

I am honorary secretary of the BSGE having previously held position as chair for laparoscopic training. I established the BSGE RIGs National Training programme and the Gynaecological response to the acute surgical presentation (GRASP) course.

Elaine joined the NHS in 2008 and is now responsible for strategic development within University Hospitals North Midlands, a role which takes her to the heart of where clinical meets quality, people, digital, finance and operations.

Elaine has been involved in major programmes of work and system-wide change for the Trust, overseeing strategic development across multiple sites to improve population health and reduce health inequalities.

Elaine is a doctor who has also trained as an engineer and spent time working in the automotive sector prior to moving into the NHS. It means that she has a natural interest in all things robotic and the potential impact these new technologies have to support patient care.

Prof Felix Chan graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1986 with a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery. After gaining experience in general medicine, surgery, emergency medicine and paediatrics he developed an interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He received the Gold Medal for MRANZCOG examination in 1990 and was admitted to the Westmead Hospital Integrated Training Program. He was inspired by Prof Alex Crandon and Prof Roger Houghton (professors in gynaecological oncology) and became the first fellow in gynaecological oncology at the hospital. He has a keen interest in developing and applying surgery in this exciting field of medicine. In 1996 he spent his fellowship at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Perth, where he developed a keen interest in defining the role of laparoscopic surgery in gynaecological oncology. He had the opportunity to work with Prof Anthony J McCartney, Prof Ian Hammond, and Prof Yee Leung, and in 1997 he had the pleasure to work with Prof J Shepherd in St Bartholomew\'s Hospital, Royal Marsden and Royal London Hospitals in the UK. He gained proficiency and expertise in gynaecological surgery after attending a master class with D Queuleu, D D’argent (France) and Prof John Monaghan (UK). Prof Chan worked as Director in Gynaecological Oncology at Liverpool Hospital (since 1998), treating women with gynaecological malignancies across the west zone of the Southwest Sydney Area Health Service. Dr. Moawad is a recognised national and international speaker, joining the Editorial Board of the “Facts, Views and Vision in OBGYN” which is the official journal of the European Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE). For many years, he has regularly contributed to a variety of publications. Dr Moawad advanced the field not only through his work, but also through his commitment to academia and groundbreaking research.

Geraldine Gagasa is a distinguished Senior Operating Theatre Nurse with a remarkable 31-year career. Her journey from a skilled practitioner to a leader in surgical training is a testament to her dedication and passion. While her expertise is deeply rooted in the foundational principles of perioperative care, her legacy is most profoundly marked by her pivotal role in navigating the rapid evolution of surgical technology, particularly in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

Throughout her career, Geraldine was drawn to the dynamic, high-stakes environment of the operating theatre, where she quickly established herself as a calm and meticulous presence. As technology began to transform surgical procedures in the early 2000s, she became an early adopter of laparoscopic techniques. This shift ignited her passion for education and mentorship, as she recognized the need to train and support her colleagues.

Geraldine was at the forefront as robotic surgery emerged, actively developing training modules and hands-on workshops. She firmly believes surgical innovation succeeds through the combined expertise of the entire theatre team. She has an inspiring ability to demystify complex robotic platforms and translate technical skills into actionable knowledge, making her an invaluable resource and a respected leader.

Her vision is to foster a culture of lifelong learning, ensuring every theatre staff member can master the skills needed for the future of surgery.

Mr. Misra is a gynaecologist who is currently working in Newcastle-under-Lyme. He qualified from Burden University Medical School in 1994. Having been on the specialist register since 2008, he has gained significant experience within his field. Furthermore, he has worked as a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. His medical experience involves the treatment of women who suffer from menstrual disorders, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, and fibroids, alongside those who suffer from problems with fertility. Added to this, he has trained in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Mr. Misra is a member of the Medical Defence Union and the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.

Hannah is currently a Gynaecology surgical training fellow at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Ian Scudamore has been a Consultant for over 25 years and has clinical interests in reproductive medicine, minimal access surgery, and fetal and maternal medicine, providing each as a clinical subspecialty interest, as well as having a general O&G commitment.

He was instrumental in development of sub-specialty training in fetal and maternal medicine in Leicester and is active training in fetal and maternal medicine and minimal access surgery.

From 2013 until 2022, Ian was Clinical Director for Women’s and Children’s Services at University Hospitals of Leicester. His responsibilities included unification of services across two sites, operational, governance and medical workforce issues, implementation of national programmes to improve care, and lobbying for development of services of national importance.

At the RCOG, Ian has contributed to the examinations for many years, serving on committees including the MCQ, EMQ, SBA (regional lead and then committee) and Part 3 Committee.

Jim Khan is a specialist colorectal surgeon with a comprehensive training in general, colorectal, laparoscopic & robotic surgery. He treats a wide range of disorders affecting the small intestine, colon and rectum. These include laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer and benign conditions including ulcerative colitis, crohn’s disease and diverticular disease, Haemorrhoid surgery, endoscopy including diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, gall bladder surgery, hernia surgery and proctology.

Jim’s specialist colorectal training included the National Laparoscopic Fellowship at Colchester (UK) a travelling clinical fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester (US) and a robotic fellowship in Seoul. He is a national trainer for consultants\' training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery - a programme run by the Department of Health. His research interests include Clinical research in laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery, Quality of life and functional outcomes after low anterior resection, and modern management of haemorrhoids. He has published & presented widely in the field of colorectal & minimal access surgery.

Lyndon Gommersall graduated from Nottingham University Medical School in 1997 and completed his medical doctorate (MD) in prostate cancer in 2006 at the University of Birmingham. He completed his specialist urological training throughout the West Midlands as well as visiting the Berne University Hospital in Switzerland to develop his primary interest in bladder cancer surgery.

He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in early 2010 at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. He is interested in rapid recovery following all aspects of urological surgery. His key interests are in bladder cancer, prostate cancer, bladder and prostate problems , incontinence and andrology including erectile dysfunction. He introduced local anaesthetic bladder botox injections to treat the overactive bladder syndrome and urge urinary incontinence. He is Urology Cancer lead for Staffordshire. He believes passionately in helping patients through the serious and sensitive problems related to his speciality. He has published widely including journals such as Lancet Oncology and Nature Clinical Practice Oncology.

Ms Marielle Nobbenhuis is a gynaecological oncology surgeon. She qualified in medicine from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and continued to train in gynaecology and obstetrics at the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam. She completed the RCOG-recognised sub-speciality Gynaecological Oncology fellowship at The Royal Marsden in 2009.

Ms Nobbenhuis obtained a PhD (cum laude) grade in research involving the natural history of pre-malignant cervical lesions and infection with human papillomavirus resulting in several peer-reviewed publications and presentations in this field. Her main topics of interest are robotic gynaecological surgery and ovarian cancer. She is a trainer in robotic surgery and involved in national and international robotic societies. She is the past president of the British and Irish Association of Robotic Surgeons, and Vice President of the Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgery (SERGS). She is PI of various surgical studies, including robotic.

Ms Nobbenhuis was appointed Head of Surgery at The Royal Marsden in January 2025.

Accredited as a sub-specialist in gynaecological oncology surgery, and recognised as a Laparoscopic and Robotic gynaecological surgeon, they offer private consultations and surgical services by appointment, accepted by major insurance providers. Nicolas Bourdel is Professor in gynaecological surgery and collaborator of Professor Canis at the University Hospital of Clermont-Ferrand (France) where he specialised in laparoscopic procedures (oncology and deep endometriosis).
He also received a PhD in computer-assisted surgery from the University of Clermont-Ferrand. Professor Bourdel has published numerous articles (more than 170) and made many presentations on minimally invasive surgery. He is one of the co-founder of SurgAR and its CEO since 2019.
He received a special training for “entrepreneur” at the EM Lyon Business School.

Dr Nidhi Singh is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Milton Keynes University Hospital. She is Clinical Director for Women’s Health at the trust. Dr Singh is a leader in robotic gynaecological surgery, having helped pioneer the use of the Versius® surgical system at Milton Keynes University Hospital. She is also active in research and quality improvement, contributing to audits on colposcopy service standards and minimally invasive surgery.

Nuha Yassin is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham and an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Birmingham. Her clinical and research interests focus on technology, minimally invasive, and robotic surgical techniques for colorectal cancer and IBD. She is the Lead for robotic colorectal surgery at her trust and the first female national proctor for robotic colorectal surgery in the UK.

Ms Yassin was elected to the Royal College of Surgeons of England Council in 2021, becoming the first early years consultant appointed. She Chairs the Future of Surgery (FoS) and Robotics and Digital Surgery (RADAR) groups. She previously served as the Director of Inclusivity at the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI).

Her research into Crohn\'s anal fistulae won the prestigious RCS England Research Fellowship and the inaugural Professor John Nicholls award. She has also received several esteemed international travelling fellowships. She is passionate about ensuring everyone has the chance to contribute something amazing.

Mr Stanciu is a specialist gynaecological surgeon with a broad international experience gained in some of the best hospitals across Europe.

Mr Stanciu completed his training and was granted CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2014 from the University of Medicine in Timisoara, Romania. He has subsequently worked and trained in hospitals in Romania, Germany, Ireland and the UK. Mr Stanciu has a PhD in Gynaecological Oncology and is an ESGO accredited sub-specialist Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon.

He is the first Robotic Surgeon with dual accreditation on both Versius and da Vinci systems by the Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgery (SERGS). Mr Stanciu holds the International Ovarian Tumour Analysis (IOTA) Certificate in Ultrasonography for pelvic masses. His interests range from diagnosis to treatment of complex ovarian masses.

At West Herts, Mr Stanciu is performing some of the most advanced robotic surgeries. As a result our hospital has become a national referral centre for Versius Robotic Surgery.

Mr Stanciu is a Preceptor for CMR Surgical and is often invited at national and international conferences to share his expertise. Apart from gynaecological cancers he also treats deep infiltrative endometriosis (DIE) and complex gynaecological problems.

As a cancer surgeon, Mr Stanciu is a member of the Gynaecological Multidisciplinary Team at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. He performs over 150 major cancer surgeries per year.

Miss Roopa Nair is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 27 years of clinical experience, currently practising at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. She has held a substantive consultant post since November 2011 and is the Clinical Director for Women’s Health Services. She also leads the Urogynaecology service at the Queen’s nationally accredited urogynaecology centre and is the lead for Robotic Gynaecology at BHR. Miss Nair holds multiple academic and professional qualifications, including FRCOG, MD, DNB, DFFP,and an MCh in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery, awarded with Distinction from Anglia Ruskin University. In 2004, she was awarded the MRCOG Gold Medal by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for attaining the highest national score in the examination. She is currently undertaking an Executive Masters in Medical Leadership from City-St.George’s university, London. Her specialist interests lie in Urogynaecology, minimally invasive and robotic surgery. She offers a comprehensive range of treatments for urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and pelvic organ prolapse, including non-mesh surgical techniques, urethral bulking injections, intravesical Botox therapy, and complex vaginal repairs. She has expertise in the management of recurrent prolapse and perineal birth injuries. Miss Nair is a trained and certified robotic surgeon, with experience in performing advanced procedures using the da Vinci Xi.

Sandip has set up the Robotic surgical services at the Harborne Hospital, their clinical background includes extensive work in minimally invasive and Robotic surgery with da vinci surgical system in Gynaecology surgery and most recently Urology, General, Renal, Colorectal and Thoracic\'s.
She has led training initiatives for surgical staff, focusing on scrub nurse competency in robotic procedures, instrument handling and workflow optimisation.

Dr Sharmila Gupta is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Colchester Hospital, part of the East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. She also serves as the Lead Surgeon for Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Clinical Lead for General Surgery at the Colchester IBD Centre. She graduated from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School in London and completed advanced colorectal training at St Mark’s Hospital, followed by international fellowships including at Leuven and the Mayo Clinic. Dr Gupta is skilled in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, endoscopy, and complex bowel operations for conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and colorectal cancer. She is also a committed educator, regularly developing training programmes for minimally invasive surgery, and holds an honorary senior lecturer role at Anglia Ruskin University

Simon Butler-Manuel is a senior Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon. He is acknowledged as one of the country’s leading minimal access gynaecological surgeons and a pioneer of robotic surgery in the UK and Europe. He has been a Consultant based in Guildford for over 20 years.

Simon helped to introduce the first da Vinci robot to the Royal Surrey in 2009 through the work of the charity GRACE, which he founded in 2005. Guildford has been recognised as an Epicentre for gynaecological robotic surgical training since 2013. Simon lectures widely and has taught many of the leading gynaecological robotic surgeons in Britain, Europe and Asia. Simon is the current Vice-President (President-elect) of BIARGS, the British and Irish Association of `robotic Gynaecological Surgeons, of which he was a founder member. Simon has been very involved in post-graduate education and surgical training through his involvement with BIARGS, the RCOG and BGCS.

As an expert in the medical and surgical treatment of complex endometriosis, Dr Gupta is committed to helping women feel seen and heard in their treatment journey for chronic gynaecological issues. She has more than 15 years of experience in gynaecology, commonly performing hysterectomies and myomectomies to treat a broad range of women’s health problems. She is also a robotic surgeon and uses robotic surgery to perform more complex procedures, such as hysterectomies for women with severe endometriosis.
Patients come to Dr Gupta for a variety of symptoms, including heavy and painful periods, pelvic pain, and concerns about fertility and menopause. She treats women both younger and older and focuses on improving her patients\' quality of life by finding them the best possible support and treatment options.

Dr Gupta has developed national endometriosis services and teaches robotic and keyhole surgery to other consultant gynaecologists. She is recognised by The British Menopause Society for her commitment to women’s health, and has been a member of The Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 2004.

Dr. Suruchi Pandey serves as a Consultant Gynaecologist at Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon, with her NHS base at St. George\'s University Hospital in London, where she has held the Consultant position since 2016.

Dr. Pandey specialises in advanced minimal access surgery, encompassing both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic techniques, benign gynaecological conditions, pelvic pain and endometriosis, advanced gynaecological ultrasound, and medical education. She leads the Endometriosis service at St. George\'s Hospital and holds the roles of Care Group Lead for Gynaecology, Lead for Undergraduate Obstetrics and Gynaecology Education, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St. George\'s, University of London.

Recognised as an RCOG trainer for the Benign Gynaecological Surgery ATSM, Dr. Pandey conducts regular courses in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic skills. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK, and actively participates in the teaching faculty of various regional and national gynaecology surgical training courses.

Dr Tom Coia is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University Hospitals of North Midlands, where he provides specialist care across a wide range of women’s health services. He is known for his calm, patient-centred approach and his ability to explain complex procedures clearly, something reflected in his involvement in the ICE clinical trial, where he supports patients by outlining what to expect on the day of surgery. Dr Coia has a strong background in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, having developed advanced skills in laparoscopic and robotic techniques during his senior training years. His expertise and commitment to innovation in surgical care have led to his participation in professional networks such as the British & Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons. Dr Coia continues to contribute to modernising gynaecological practice, with a focus on improving outcomes, enhancing patient experience, and expanding the use of advanced surgical technology within the NHS.

Prof. Uzma Mahmood is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at UL Hospitals Group, where she offers comprehensive obstetric care and a wide range of benign gynaecological services, including treatment for abnormal menstrual bleeding, PCOs, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and prolapse. She also sees private patients at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick. Her expertise lies in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery which results in less pain, quicker recovery, and shorter hospital stays. Additionally, Dr Mahmood is a certified colposcopist and a specialist in robotic gynaecological surgery.

Dr Mahmood graduated from Punjab University in Pakistan and holds membership in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (2008), fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (2023). She earned her MD from University College Cork in 2012, focusing her research on foetal microchimerism and maternal wound healing. Having completed her specialist training through the Irish training scheme, Dr Mahmood gained extensive experience at several hospitals, including the Rotunda, Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital, and Cork University Maternity Hospital. In 2017, she was awarded the Certificate of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training (CSCST) by the Irish Committee on Higher Training and has been on the Medical Council’s register of medical specialists since then.

Dr Vidya Kasipandian graduated from Madras Medical College, Chennai, India in 2000. She underwent higher specialist training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in the North West Deanery, UK, and received her Dual Accreditation (Dual CCT) in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine in 2011. She joined The Christie as a substantive Consultant in Critical Care and Anaesthesia in May 2011 and was the Clinical Lead in Critical Care between 2012 to 2019. In this role, she was responsible for introducing Level 3 care in the Critical Care Unit and contributed to multi-disciplinary collaborative working by establishing weekly MDTs. Dr Kasipandian held the post of the Clinical Director for Critical Care and Inpatient Services between 2019 and 2022. She was appointed Associate Medical Director for Quality and Patient Safety in April 2022. She has successfully lead projects on phase 2 implementation of electronic inpatient noting, new Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) build and mortality mapping process. Dr Kasipandian continues her roles as a Clinical and Educational Supervisor, instructing in Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses since 2011 and having established the National Tracheostomy Safety Project (NTSP) at The Christie site. She is a Principal Investigator for national trials in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and COVID.

Mr. Zeiad El-Gizawy is a Consultant Gynaecologist who provides a wide range of services for women with gynaecological disorders, offering comprehensive consultations and assessments. He collaborates closely with his patients to develop holistic treatment plans. His special interests include managing pelvic pain and endometriosis, and he has extensive training and expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. Additionally, Mr. El-Gizawy is skilled in infertility treatments and reproductive medicine.

Mr. El-Gizawy began his medical career with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery and completed his specialty training in the West Midlands Deanery. He furthered his expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery with a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy from Surrey University. He also trained in Robotic Surgery through courses in Strasbourg and Paris. An advocate for medical education, he holds a Diploma in Medical Education from Keele University and conducts teaching sessions for GPs. His contributions to the field include numerous publications in accredited journals and research papers. He is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is affiliated with the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.
