She undertook a dedicated Robotic Pelvic Fellowship at the Royal Surrey Hospital and has trained extensively with BIARGS and SERGS, where she currently serves as a council member of the Young European Advocates of Robotic Surgery (YEARS). She is also the founder of MIRGS (Mentorship in Robotic Gynaecological Surgery), a European mentorship programme designed to support safe adoption of robotic surgery. Dr El-Hamamsy has published widely on robotic outcomes, efficiency, and training, and is a regular invited speaker at international meetings including SERGS, IUGA, ICS, BIARGS, and RCOG. Her main topics of interest are robotic gynaecological surgery and ovarian cancer. She is a trainer in robotic surgery and involved in national and international robotic societies.
